Unlocking Regional Mobility: Japan’s Path to Autonomous Driving

Autonomous driving technology is rapidly advancing toward commercialization, particularly in the U.S. and China. In Japan, momentum is building as the government actively pushes for early implementation, and startups are playing a pivotal role in driving innovation and shaping new business models to bring this vision to life.

This session explores why now is the time for Japan to commit seriously to the commercialization of autonomous mobility. It will examine how regional assets, cutting-edge technology, and smart policy can be integrated to build sustainable mobility strategies. Drawing on domestic and global case studies, cross-sector leaders from startups, tech, and government will engage in a forward-looking dialogue on how Japan can take the lead in realizing the future of mobility.
