    ▼ Chief Director

    Toshiaki Shimakawa

IVS CEO / Principal, Headline Asia

After conducting research at RIKEN and Osaka University, he joined the startup ecosystem.
As Principal at Headline Asia, he leads investments and has scaled IVS to a 12,000-person conference. He’s also supported the launch of breakout startups like 17LIVE.

To be honest, IVS has avoided exhibition-style formats.

They tend to create one-way interactions, like awkward sales pitches—something we wanted to change.

With Startup Market, we’re trying something new: Exhibition 2.0.
We’re curating only high-quality startups, and adding guided tours led by VCs and other key players. This allows startups to meet serious partners naturally—through trusted introductions.Tour organizers benefit too. It’s a great way to showcase your network, support founders, and even connect with new LPs or partners.

It might take time for the culture to catch on—but once it does, we believe it’ll redefine how startup exhibitions work.
We’re looking forward to your participation—as an exhibitor, or as a tour host.

  • Access for All Pass Types

    Central Park

    A Park for New Encounters

IVS isn’t just about watching stage programs or visiting booths.
Here, you become the presenter. Share your vision, pitch your ideas, gather collaborators, and hear the dreams of others—right at the table.

This is a communication park where everyone brings their own world.
By expressing your perspective and listening to others, you’ll discover new angles, ideas, and inspiration.
We’re creating a space full of energy and connection—right at the center of it all.

  • EX Only (AT, ST by invitation only)

    Meeting Area

A Dedicated Space for Serious Meetings

We’ve prepared a spacious meeting area—over twice the size of previous years—to support high-quality, productive conversations.
At IVS, we believe that spontaneous and scheduled meetings are essential for turning encounters into real opportunities. That’s why we’re offering more chances than ever to meet and connect.

Start coordinating with others through the official system before the event, then meet face-to-face in this dedicated space.
This is the most effective way to get the most out of your IVS experience.

    ROHM Theater North Hall

    Dedicated Networking Event Area

For the first time at IVS, we’re introducing a dedicated space for networking events.
In response to requests for deeper participant interaction, we’ve set up a special venue in the North Hall of ROHM Theatre’s basement.

Each day, the space will host themed networking events—by industry, experience level, company type, and more.
Admission requirements will vary by event, and full details will be announced soon.
