Deep tech builds on research findings based on long-term perspectives and academic narratives. However, when connected to the market, many are subject to pressures for “short-term returns” and "structures that can make money. What is to be lost and what is to be protected? What kind of ideology and ethics should VCs and supporters who provide funds have and what kind of ecosystem design should they pursue in order to continue utilizing the potential of knowledge in the midst of being exposed to market forces? In this session, we will join front-line players in the field to question the ideology, ethics, and ecosystem design that VC firms and business corporations should have.
